The Role Responsibilities  :

  • Administer compensation and benefit plans
  • Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes  (full cycle)
  • Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training & development initiatives
  • Interview or provide interview support to managers
  • Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
  • Assist in the development and implementation of human resource policies
  • Undertake tasks around performance management
  • Organize quarterly and annual employee performance reviews
  • Facilitate Performance Improvement Plans and coach managers in HR matters when required
  • Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying for new perks and benefits and organizing team-building activities
  • Ensure compliance with labour regulations
  • Provide HR Admin support to the current HR manager when required

What You Bring To The Role:

  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist ( 1 – 2 years of Experience would be preferred)
  • Completion of an HR – Post Secondary Program is required ( CHRP Not Required)
  • Understanding of Ontario-based standards of general HR policies and procedures
  • Good knowledge of Ontario-based employment/labour laws
  • Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; HRIS systems
  • Desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach
  • Experience in WSIB / LTD / STD Case Management
  • Additional HR training will be a plus – Health and Safety standards
