The Role Responsibilities :
- Administer compensation and benefit plans
- Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes (full cycle)
- Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training & development initiatives
- Interview or provide interview support to managers
- Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise
- Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
- Assist in the development and implementation of human resource policies
- Undertake tasks around performance management
- Organize quarterly and annual employee performance reviews
- Facilitate Performance Improvement Plans and coach managers in HR matters when required
- Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying for new perks and benefits and organizing team-building activities
- Ensure compliance with labour regulations
- Provide HR Admin support to the current HR manager when required
What You Bring To The Role:
- Proven experience as an HR Generalist ( 1 – 2 years of Experience would be preferred)
- Completion of an HR – Post Secondary Program is required ( CHRP Not Required)
- Understanding of Ontario-based standards of general HR policies and procedures
- Good knowledge of Ontario-based employment/labour laws
- Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; HRIS systems
- Desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach
- Experience in WSIB / LTD / STD Case Management
- Additional HR training will be a plus – Health and Safety standards
